Episode 04: For the love of chocolate

Creativity meets cocoa and the rest is history.

When it comes to sweet tooth versus savory, I have to say that I fall on team sweets all the way. Although I am aware that sugar can be very unhealthy, I believe that high-quality, tasty treats add variety and joy to our lives. In moderation, sweets can be wonderful experiences.

When is it worth it to indulge? When you go to SOMA Chocolatemaker of course!

Any chocolate lover will experience the humble cacao in all its forms at SOMA. From flavor to form, SOMA is filled with every way chocolate can and should be consumed. Melted hot chocolate? Got it. Alcohol-filled cherry bombs ? You got it. Orange-flavored chocolate bars? Why even ask? Of course!

SOMA is so well-reputed across town that getting a gift from their shop is a sure way to please any valentine, friend or family member. Personally, I love adding their hot chocolate mixes to gifts around the holidays to add an extra warm cup of goodness for my friends and family in the winter. That way they’ll think of me when it warms them up inside!

Want to try a delicious cup of hot chocolate on the spot? I recommend the Mexican hot chocolate in-store for a yummy kick on a chilly day. A must-try in the harsh Canadian winter!

In the summer, they offer gelato made in-house that is to die for. Don’t miss it the next time you’re around King and Spadina!

Have you tried their treats or bought them as gifts? Are you a chocolate fan?
